Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Product Management team! You will be working closely with our eCommerce and Technology teams to continuously improve our eCommerce website and ensure a fast and easy online experience for our customers. If you have a keen eye for detail, a knack for documenting and improving processes, and a customer centric mindset, this may be the perfect job for you!
This full-time position reports to the Senior Product Manager and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Tuesday and Wednesday in-office.
What you’ll do:
Product Management
- Supports product management team by conducting market research, gathering quantitative product data, and analyzing customer research
- Supports our Product Managers by creating story maps, author user stories, tasks, and bugs with a customer-centric eye
- Participates in Agile ceremonies, daily Scrums, and backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint review discussions, and sprint demos
- Partners with Technology and Product Managers to dissect requirements and understand risks and dependencies
- Understands the impact functional changes may have on the business
Project Management
- Maintains well-groomed backlogs
- Manages expectations by communicating statuses and turnaround times
- Works with timelines that account for dependencies and resources
- Cross-functional collaboration and education
- Provides competitive analysis and market research to inform features that support future growth
- Works closely with cross-functional teammates and partner with external vendors
Tools Development and Support
- Utilizes existing third-party tools (Google Analytics, Power BI and Crazy Egg) to understand user behavior and identify product opportunities
Documentation
- Reviews current workflows and ensures documentation is updated
- Creates new documentation for new processes and projects
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, including hands-on experience working in a B2C eCommerce environment
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, IT, Management, or Computer Science, or related experience in lieu of degree
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of customer needs and desire to impact the customer journey
- Passion for teamwork and collaboration
- Experience working with Project Management tools such as Confluence, Jira, Asana, and Zoho
- An understanding of A/B testing and optimization best practices
- Familiarity with JSON or XML data payloads is a plus
- Experience working with SAP Commerce is a plus
- Project Management Certification is a plus
- Agile and Scrum Certification is a plus
