About the role

The Sales Manager role is responsible for inside and outside business development efforts in the region specified by the Company and senior leadership. 

What You Will Do:

  • Execute and drive sales strategies to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets.
  • Take an active role in implementing the sales strategy, including acquiring new business through outside sales (new business) and inside sales (add-on sales to existing clients).
  • Manage the Global SDR team, including developing and implementing KPIs, monitoring and correcting pipeline trajectory, enabling close cooperation, following up with BD on new opportunities, and achieving targets each quarter and year.
  • Mentor, guide, and direct the global team to enhance their knowledge of the Company, sales techniques, and how to deliver products to customers and clients. 
  • Identify, research, and procure critical technological tools and software that enhance the efficiency and productivity of the Global SDR team.
  • Maintains close relationships with key industry contacts, including business partners, clients, and prospective customers.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify and research new markets, new client groups or types, and identify prospective clients and specific contact points.
  • Contact prospective customers to introduce products and services, explain product features, and schedule client meetings for Account Managers (AM). 
  • Represent the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. 
  • Observe, receive, research, and obtain information from various relevant sources.
  • Provide relevant information, including routine updates, to stakeholders as requested. 
  • Learn about new ABS products and services and creatively develop region-specific marketing approaches.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. 
  • At least 8-10 years of experience with inside sales preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing a team of sales professionals is preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to quickly establish and build credibility and relationships with ABS both externally and internally.
  • Prior experience managing teams of Sales Representatives. 
  • Strong commitment to ethical business practices in full accordance with relevant corporate policies.
  • Experience creating and implementing sales strategies in a multi-national environment preferred. 
  • Experienced with the everyday administrative tasks of managing a team, including scheduling, performance reviews, performance coaching, conflict resolution, and establishing and monitoring KPIs. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client-facing environments. 
  • English language fluency to conduct detailed business and technical communication at a professional level.
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of specified products and services to be sold.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

This role reports to a senior-level manager and has direct reports located globally.
