Description

The Section of Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus and Oklahoma Children’s OU Health seeks a Section Chief of Pediatric Genetics to lead and expand the only Pediatrics genetics program in Oklahoma. This role is designed to maximize impact—split between administrative leadership, research and clinical duties. You will broadly lead genetic and metabolic care across the state. Your strategic vision will revitalize our pediatric genetics services, expand research and innovation, and bring the genetics section to national recognition and outstanding local access and outcomes.   • Lead the expansion of the genetics program serving Oklahoma’s extensive population as the foremost tertiary and quaternary Children’s care center
  • Expand research and innovation within the Genetics section
  • Revitalize our pediatric genetics clinical services by introducing your visionary strategies and developing a statewide program
  • Leverage established genetics facilities and premier molecular lab to push the boundaries of medical innovation
  • Directly engage with a diverse team, including faculty clinicians, research faculty, advanced practice providers, and genetic counselors to improve interdisciplinary outcomes


This position will be at the Associate Professor or Professor level. Extensive investment and support will be available to the right candidate from the Health Campus, College of Medicine, the Department, and Oklahoma Children’s at OU Health.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should be trained in pediatrics, internal medicine, or human and medical genetics and board certified in genetics and obtain a license to practice medicine in Oklahoma.
