About the role

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a motivated and curious Leadership & Talent Development Intern to support our Talent Development team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to leadership development, training programs, and talent initiatives that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness.

The intern will work closely with leadership development professionals and collaborate with team members across Talent Development, including learning systems, training delivery, change management, and operational training. This role is ideal for students interested in Human Resources, leadership development, learning and development, or organizational effectiveness who are looking to gain meaningful, real-world experience in a corporate environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, organization, and maintenance of leadership development and training materials.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of training sessions, workshops, and learning events (virtual and in-person).
  • Help prepare presentations, guides, and learning resources used in leadership and training programs.
  • Assist with post-session activities, including collecting, organizing, and summarizing participant feedback.
  • Support project coordination by tracking materials, timelines, and deliverables across learning initiatives.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and basic reports related to training participation and program support.
  • Assist with organizing learning content within learning management systems or shared repositories.
  • Conduct light research on leadership development topics, learning resources, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with and learn from Talent Development team members supporting:
    • Leadership and professional development programs
    • Learning management systems (LMS)
    • Change management and organizational effectiveness
    • Manufacturing and operational training initiatives
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the Talent Development team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in leadership development, training, or talent development.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn in a professional setting.
