POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Product Specialist is responsible for the overall activities related to product formulation and testing requirements established in SAP. In addition, support investigation and answering of customer inquiries, providing local and national support for Operations, PM, Technical labs, NACS, Sales and CTS.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support SAP formula, Quality test, specifications and methods entry across all Product lines.
• Monitor SAP Inquiry submissions for prompt investigation and processing to support optimal operation processing for customer orders.
• Support request for product cost simulations.
• Steward and analysis for SAP data integrity and reduced proliferation of products.
• Provide backfill support for other Product Specialist
• Support local manufacturing teams with product specific support in the areas of product substitution and quality control specifications.
• Support national laboratories in the building and extension of approved NPCT templates across NAI manufacturing sites
• Facilitate local system (SAP) functions that are consistent with the role (inquiries)
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Sales, PM, Technical labs, RCML’s and Quality.
• Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Strong computer skills with various applications including Microsoft Excel and SAP 
• Ability to extract data and run reports for data analysis 
• Familiarity with various Product lines / chemistries (water, solvent and paste inks) associated with our industry (flexographic solvent) a plus
• English, Strong written and oral presentation skills 
• Advanced project management skills / Strong leadership and coaching skills / math skills required
• Strong leadership and coaching skills a plus
• Knowledge of printing technologies (offset lithography, flexography, Gravure)
• Knowledge of manufacturing and QC processes, and color 
• Prior experience in inventory management / supply chain, colormatching labs, Quality Control, or Technical Laboratory environments is beneficial but not required.
