Facilities Manager

About The Position

​​​The Facilities Manager is responsible for oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.​​ 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Foster and promote a culture of safety and zero unsafe acts. 
  • Lead mid-sized projects or a portfolio of small projects with defined scopes.  Has overall accountability for mitigating typical project risk, scope, budget, and scheduling of moderate and complex projects.  
  • Develop project forecasts and revised project budgets and forecasts, implements project cost controls.
  • Lead cross functional teams in developing overall execution, project accounting, work order management, and proper asset classification.
  • Develop contracts/specification, submit requisitions for labor and/or materials, process pay requests, review, and approve invoices, vendor proposals, scope revisions, etc.
  • Manage master service agreements.
  • Identifies resource needs, align resources towards the execution goal, identify and proactively address needs, and remove obstacles thereby allowing the team to focus on their assigned work.
  • Actively promote governance with Facilities Management & Construction standard, supports and when need lead the change management process.
  • Communicates to business partners regarding property profiles, evacuation plans, site inspections, facility audits, work order progress reports, and other related reports.
  • Establishes and communicates stakeholder engagement strategy.  Facilitates recurring communications with stakeholders. Coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments to stakeholders. 
  • Assist in the preparation of the building construction, operations and maintenance budgets including project evaluation and justifications, development of budget estimates and the preparation of work orders.
  • Conduct inspections on the facility campus. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Proficient knowledge of IWMS system.
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required with 5+ years or relevant experience required.   Bachelor of Science in Facilities Management preferred.  In lieu of a bachelor's degree an associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or a High school diploma with 11+ years of relevant experience is required.   PMP, IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) FMP or CFM certification preferred.
