POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Financial Reporting & Acquisition Accounting will perform financial reporting,
acquisition and integration work for the accounting department as well as support Sr. Director,
Financial Reporting with annual financial statement audit.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform accounting due diligence on potential acquisition targets by partnering with various organizational leaders and conducting thorough investigations including financial analysis and reviewing financial and legal documents.
- Assist with purchase accounting work for newly acquired facilities including partnering with external accounting firms.
- Facilitate onboarding of new entities into financial systems including:
- Prepare and validate opening balance sheet for acquired entities.
- Drive accounting process integration – align accounting practices of acquired company with Regent’s, ensuring a smooth transition and standardization.
- Attend company integration calls and collaborate with other departments to ensure the acquisition is transitioned successfully.
- Set-up of new entity in various financial systems & applications.
- Facilitate transition of acquisition target to permanent center accountant.
- Continually seek to improve processes and efficiencies within the acquisition process.
- Facilitation of post transaction working capital reconciliation.
- Assist in preparation of consolidated financial reporting package and supporting workpapers.
- Research new accounting pronouncements, prepare accounting memos on complex technical accounting matters, and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with annual audit & completion of supporting workpapers
- Lead process improvement; automation initiatives; and systems enhancements for greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency where assigned.
- Assist with building and maintenance of financial reports utilizing Workday Adaptive OfficeConnect reporting tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned
