Position Summary: The Diving Maintenance Technician Level III / Excursion and Electronically Controlled Underwater Breathing Apparatus (UBA) Technician / Supply Database Specialist / Personal Property Custodian Level III serves as a Key Personnel position supporting Naval Special Warfare Group Two (NSWG-2) Logistics Support Unit Two (LOGSU-2) Dive Department operations. This position is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of Excursion and Electronically Controlled Underwater Breathing Apparatus (E-UBA/EC-UBA) systems, Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), and associated support equipment while maintaining inventory accountability and personal property records within government accountability systems.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on E-UBA systems, EC-UBA systems, Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), and associated support equipment.
• Perform maintenance on SCUBA tanks, regulators, compressors, Haskel oxygen charging systems, N2O2 charging systems, diagnostic equipment, underwater communications systems, full-face masks, and life support equipment.
• Develop and assist with technical training supporting E-UBA maintenance technician qualification programs.
• Support delivery of maintenance and operator training to Naval Special Warfare personnel.
• Process requests and maintain records for the issue, turn-in, gain, transfer, and accountability of Dive Division property.
• Conduct monthly, bi-annual, and annual inventories of equipment maintained within ELMS, DPAS, APSR, or designated government accountability systems.
• Investigate and process documentation associated with missing, lost, stolen, or damaged property.
• Support customer service requirements involving issue, receipt, accountability, and maintenance of diving equipment.
• Maintain accountability records using DD Forms 1149, 1150, 1348, DD Form 200, and other applicable inventory documentation.
• Track and manage dive equipment requests received through NIPRNET and SIPRNET systems.
• Maintain access and current certifications necessary to manage inventory within government accountability programs.
• Assist with procurement, issue, inventory, storage, and disposal of dive systems and associated equipment.
• Maintain inventory databases, accountability records, maintenance records, and supporting documentation for assigned equipment.
• Support SEAL Team representatives and supported commands with equipment accountability, maintenance coordination, and inventory requirements.
• Obtain and maintain factory certifications for E-UBA systems and associated technologies as required by NSW.
• Ensure compliance with Navy, NAVSEA, NSW, 3M, maintenance management, and property accountability requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Qualification: Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher).
• Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience as a certified 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher diver.
• Experience: Minimum three (3) years of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) experience.
• Certification: MK-16 Maintenance Technician qualification.
• Certification: MK-25 Maintenance Technician qualification.
• Qualification: Qualified as a Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Maintenance Person.
• Qualification: Qualified as a 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman.
• Qualification: Qualified as a 3M Work Center Supervisor.
• Qualification: Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).
• Certification: Factory-trained certification for diving equipment maintained within assigned inventory.
• Certification: Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS) Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor qualification.
• Certification: Oxygen Clean System Worker certification.
• Experience: Experience maintaining Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), E-UBA systems, EC-UBA systems, mixed-gas systems, compressors, charging systems, communications equipment, and associated support equipment.
• Experience: Experience supporting inventory accountability and personal property management using ELMS, DPAS, APSR, or comparable government accountability systems.
• Certification: Must possess and maintain forklift certification up to 6,000-pound capacity.
