We seek applicants who can enhance our abilities in data systems. Areas of interest include reliable and high-performance data systems for acquiring, storing, processing, and analyzing complex (such as real-time, large-scale, and multi-modal) data, and data systems research (including applied and theoretical innovations in heterogeneous, imprecise, and distributed data management and analysis, possibly leveraging deployments on the cloud, modern hardware, or disaggregated infrastructures) that aims to support machine learning, AI, and big data analytics for converting data into actionable information and knowledge. Candidates with big data application interest in one or more of our key research thrust areas of Health, IoT, Space, Cybersecurity, Scientific Discovery, and Sustainability are particularly encouraged to apply.
