POSITION SUMMARY
The Creative Content Manager supports the planning, creation, and production of high-quality content that supports Orange Lutheran’s brand, enrollment, and community engagement efforts. This role ensures cohesive storytelling across platforms, manages editorial planning, and oversees photography and video production to support key initiatives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Editorial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage an editorial calendar aligned with institutional priorities, enrollment cycles, and key events
- Lead brainstorming sessions with internal stakeholders to shape compelling storylines and content series
- Set standards for tone, voice, and messaging consistency across all written and multimedia content
- Oversee the blog content pipeline and collaborate with subject-matter experts for storytelling opportunities
- Ensure alignment between editorial content and search engine optimization best practices, digital strategy, and brand positioning
Content Creation & Production Oversight
- Primary partner with Athletics to ensure strong visual and narrative storytelling across programs
- Supervise the creation and delivery of written, visual, and multimedia content across platforms (web, social, print)
- Manage photography and videography, including building a robust photo library of academic, athletic, alumni, and campus life events
- Oversee Nechita Center productions such as headshots, yearbook photos, playbill content, and highlight reels
- Coordinate coverage of events including athletics, pastor appreciation, alumni gatherings, and more
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to refine content goals and campaign strategy
- Provide creative direction for projects, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality execution
Project & Asset Management
- Manage editorial workflows and deadlines using project management tools
- Maintain an organized archive of media assets and develop systems for access and reuse
- Collaborate on cross-functional campaigns, ensuring content aligns with digital, print, and social goals

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Major in Communications, Photocommunications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Advertising, or related fields
Experience
Two or more years of related work experience
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND CLEARANCES
- Cleared Background/Fingerprint check
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- Cleared TB assessment
- Completion of Ministry Safe Training
- Valid CA Driver's License
KEY COMPETENCIES
Knowledge
- Understanding of editorial planning, storytelling techniques, and audience segmentation.
- Deep knowledge of brand voice, tone, and maintaining consistency across platforms.
- Familiarity with search engine optimization, web content strategy, and digital user behavior.
- Working knowledge of photography, videography, and production workflows, including event and studio setups.
- Proficiency in managing editorial calendars, digital asset libraries, and collaborative platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana, or similar).
- Awareness of the academic calendar, enrollment cycles, and school marketing priorities.
