As Head of PR & Communications, reporting to the EVP of Marketing & Comms, you will manage the Comms team and serve as the champion of a consistent narrative across SeatGeek. You'll become a trusted partner across all areas of our business by helping harness our momentum, and accelerate SeatGeek from a growth stage company to an industry changing household name. You will own all major communications workstreams, including consumer & industry press and corporate & internal comms, using both our in-house Comms team and external partners to drive success.

What you'll do

  • Define our narrative: Own and evolve a cohesive narrative framework, embedding it across SeatGeek and amplifying it externally to shape industry perception
  • Grow fan differentiation: Partner closely with brand, creative & product marketing to drive differentiation with fans in who we are, what we deliver and why we should be their favorite
  • Elevate brand relevance: Position SeatGeek and our executives as leading industry thought leaders in the live events and technology space
  • Scale with impact: Balance human authenticity with AI-enabled efficiency to cover a wide remit of external and internal comms. Responsible for balancing the size of the in-house team, external agencies and/or operating tools
  • Be an exec partner: You’ll work across our executive team to make Comms a multiplier across all facets of our business. You will be a trusted stakeholder with a seat at the table for strategic, high-impact moments
  • Empower, coach & operate: You’ll lead our Comms team, helping both comms generalists and senior internal comms team members grow & succeed. You’ll set up ways of operating, KPIs, tools and structure that make the team high impact

What you have

  • Comms Expert: 14+ years growing within various roles of PR & Comms, ideally with specific experience on corporate comms, policy comms or investor relations
  • Team Leader: You’ve managed and mentored an internal team of comms professionals of varying seniority, and when necessary you’ve supplemented your team with external agencies or consultants
  • Proven Breadth: Track record of driving results for growth companies with corporate, business (b2b) and consumer audiences. Experience with IPO, investors and board facing communications is strongly preferred
  • Proven Depth: Experience working in unique industries with complex business models, major competition, or interesting regulatory environments
  • Narrative Magician: You can quickly understand a situation, tease out relevant information, and build a narrative that raises the floor and grows the ceiling.
  • Connection Maker: Success in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments. Experience building strong working relationships with executive leaders, product teams, sales leaders, reporters and others
  • Proactive > Prescriptive: Proactive self-starter with ownership mentality. Solutions over problems, and north-star over specific roadmap
  • You are goal-oriented, cool under pressure, and bend towards continuous improvement
