Role Summary/Purpose:
The SVP, Technology Lead – Sam’s is responsible for providing senior technology vision, leadership, and strategy to drive technology programs for the overall Sam’s portfolio to meet client growth, innovation, productivity expectations and ongoing development. This role aligns with leadership strategies and drives innovative thinking to advance technology and meet customer and partner demands. This leader interacts with and influences client leaders to determine and drive delivery of technology priorities across our clients.
This role is located in our Bentonville, AR hybrid hub. You will be asked to split your time between working at home, coming into the Bentonville Hub regularly for key meetings, events, engagement opportunities, etc., and traveling for client meetings.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides senior technology vision, leadership, and strategy to drive technology programs related to the overall Sam’s portfolio; partners with client team to identify new opportunities to drive growth and integration; ensures optimization of cross-functional client initiatives
Responsible for oversight of client-related technical programs; provides executive input, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
Proactively identifies new opportunities to drive process improvements and simplification in support of delivery and productivity; ongoing analysis of project priorities and planning
Develops and guides the innovation and new technology investment strategies.
Responsible for wing-to-wing delivery of client aligned initiatives, including resource assignment, issue, and budget management
Lead our cross-platform strategic financial planning process to ensure transparency to business leaders and flexibility to changes in business demand.
Develops peer, cross functional and cross client relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness. Partner with multiple business and technology teams to ensure we have focus and process consistency across all customers and platforms.
Leads cross process improvements and client simplification efforts to continue to drive technology transformation solutions (e.g. Acquisition Channels, Client POS edits, etc.)
Monitor, measure, and report performance against key client metrics.
Set the right tone and posture around all financial, regulatory, compliance, and process governance
Responsible for people management activities including performance management, compensation planning, and organization and staffing.
Financial planning and ownership of program budgets.
Leverage industry network resources to benchmark and identify trending and opportunity
Creates, communicates, and manages the project plans and other required project documentation and provides updates as necessary. Maintains project documentation, including project charter, requirements, conceptual design, test plans, schedules, and presentations
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree High School diploma and 15 years of Technology experience
Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience driving large programs across large financial services or technology business.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience developing and executing strategic plans, influencing skills, managing complex program and leading collaborative relationships in a cross- functional team environment.
Grade/Level: 15
The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 25% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
