Your Purpose 

At Bitso, our mission is to make crypto useful, and as a Software Engineer II, you will be at the heart of this exciting journey. You will design, implement, deliver, and maintain code for the critical services that form the backbone of our financial infrastructure. Reports To

You will be an integral part of Bitso Business, the infrastructure for the future of cross-border payments. In this role, you'll report directly to our visionary leaders, who are dedicated to pioneering the next wave of financial innovation. Your contributions will help shape the future of global finance, making a mark on the industry.

Who You Are 

• You articulate your ideas clearly and effectively in English, ensuring seamless communication within your team and across areas.
• 8+ years of robust experience working with Java systems, with a particular emphasis on recent versions, including Java 21 and popular frameworks like Spring.
• Solid experience in microservices architecture, demonstrating the ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance, and resilient distributed systems.
• Advanced experience with AWS, adept at leveraging cloud services for large-scale applications.
• You have extensive experience with asynchronous processing and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Your proficiency spans both Relational Databases, especially PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like Redis.
• You exhibit a deep understanding of software engineering principles, with a focus on coding, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and best practices for performance.
• You are not just a senior developer but also a mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• You have the ability for identifying and resolving complex technical issues, using your analytical skills and creative thinking to drive innovative solutions.
• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field sets you apart from the crowd.
