Job Overview
The Operations department at LPL is implementing a multi-year strategy to transform how we operate and scale to more efficiently support our advisors.  We are seeking an Assistant Vice President on the Operations Strategy team to support the VP, Chief of Staff, who directly supports LPL’s Head of Operations and the Operations leadership team. In this role, the AVP will collaborate with leadership team members to help tell our transformation story and influence executive audiences, coordinate key meetings including developing agendas and content, and manage deliverable timelines.

The ideal candidate will bring a demonstrated track record of successfully working closely with senior leaders, effective storytelling through data, design, and deck building, and strong organizational skills. A background in consulting, strategy, communications, and/or change management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders, project teams, and partners to build decks for various audiences telling the story and impact of our work, including Board of Directors, executive leaders, project teams, and department-wide meetings
  • Manage deliverable timelines including review and work-back schedules
  • Organize department-level meetings and events with business partners
  • Actively provide thought partnership to our department leaders
  • Assist with other tasks to ensure an effective Operations organization

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience building executive-level presentations, partnering with leaders, and influencing organizational change


Core Competencies:

  • This candidate should be a strategic thinker, effective and succinct communicator, problem-solver, highly motivated and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Very strong deck building and storytelling skills; background in visual design and telling stories with data a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with upper-level executives.
  • A proven history of building and maintaining excellent relationships and partnering with executives at all levels to help drive change.

Preferences:

  • 2+ years of management consulting experience
  • PowerPoint experience, creating executive (C-level) and board level materials and presentations (Advanced proficiency)
  • Change management, Program management or Project management experience
  • Experience supporting leaders on executive level and C-level
  • BA/BS degree preferred


 

Pay Range:

$80,363-$133,938/year


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
