Senior AI Engineer

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications to meet business needs and solve problems.
• Build AI applications using cloud native services, LLMs, incorporating RAG, text-to-SQL, and agentic workflows.
• Identify data sources, perform data mining, data sync, and analyze large datasets to extract insights.
• Collaborate with application and support teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
• Conduct POCs to develop and optimize algorithms for performance and scalability in new use cases.
• Database design and management tasks to support data storage requirements.
• Develop AI strategies, roadmaps, and conduct reviews with senior management and business users.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies.
• Document processes, models, and findings for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Deploy applications on cloud infrastructure for scalability, high-availability and resilience.
• Manage user access to the AI applications and regular auditing and reviewing best practices.
• Develop Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy for Infrastructure and Applications.
• Administration and maintenance of the AI systems, hosting, configuring, securing the data and access and implementing best practices.
• Regularly and promptly reporting issues and application health to management.
• Patching and upgrading the environment as defined by corporate policy.
• Develop and maintain the necessary documentation, including Requirements documentation, Architecture/Design documentation and Test Cases.
• Ensure data backups are regularly taking place.
• On-the-job training includes the organization technologies and tools overview and software development processes.

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years’ experience; or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years’ experience.
• 7-10 years required (10+ years preferred) – Overall 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT industry designing, developing, testing and managing software applications and cloud infrastructure.
• 3 years’ required experience in building AI/ML applications (using Amazon Bedrock or similar tools)
