Are you passionate about delivering exceptional administrative support? The Comprehensive & Urgent Care Ophthalmology clinic in Westwood is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to deliver a smooth patient experience. This position will be the first point of contact for the patient visiting the clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide patients through check-in/out processes
  • Ensure accurate registration and insurance verification
  • Schedule appointments
  • Respond or route patient messages

Salary Range: $26.42-37.49. Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required: ? Working knowledge of medical terminology and diseases, as it applies to the eye.? Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a medical office.? Familiarity with current patient billing practices.? Knowledge of current governmental programs to ensure reimbursement.? Experience scheduling patient appointments in computerized appointment scheduling system.? Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records in a clear and orderly manner at the direction of the Office Manager.? Sufficient computer keyboard skills to perform appointment scheduling, encountering, emailing, and other related computer tasks.? Ability to prioritize tasks in a systematic manner to maximize efficiency.? Ability to work with frequent interruptions and to complete assignments in a timely manner.? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.? Ability to multitask effectively.? Flexibility and adaptability given the dynamic nature of medicine and departmental needs.
