As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Custom Smile Solutions AI team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Understanding the bigger picture and proactively seeking out new problems to solve and ways of improving the ways that we work as a team.
• Proactively mentoring and championing software engineering best practices to foster a great culture.
• Leading the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems for our AI-based 2D/3D computer vision and 3D mesh processing applications.
• Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate the build, test, and deployment processes for our applications.
• Determining the best practices for backend architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance in our systems.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 6 years of industry experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED from AND 10 years of industry experience

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 4 years of experience developing industry solutions in Python
• 2 years of experience developing industry solutions in either Azure or AWS

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Strong working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of infrastructure as code
• Strong familiarity developing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience developing industry solutions in C++ or C#
• History establishing a great team culture centered on collaboration
• Experience developing ETL or data engineering solutions

• Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
