Job Summary:
The People Services Coordinator is critical to the smooth operation of our HR functions, supporting employees across the organization and partnering with People Services leadership to drive a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. Reporting to the People Service Manager, the PS Coordinator will lead and support a variety of HR initiatives including employee engagement, onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations
Essential Functions:
- Assist in implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys; analyze results and collaborate with leadership on action planning.
- Assist with new hire orientations.
- Support employees and managers with HR-related questions and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for HR inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding tasks for new hires including I-9s and E-Verify.
- Support offboarding activities and unemployment claims.
- Manage labor law postings across office locations.
- Maintain employee data integrity in HRIS (e.g., Workday), conducting regular audits and updates.
- Assist with completing employment, income, and benefit verification requests.
- Provide administrative support for all departments you support as requested
- Collect and process corporate offices invoices
- Sort documentation for billing department and submit to AP
- Provide additional coverage for the reception desk and ensuring efficient operation of the reception area responsibilities and processes
- Direct inquiries and telephone calls to the appropriate departments or staff members
- Greet and direct visitors, guests, and fellow employees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Coordinate with IT to issue employee badges and administer visitor badges when applicable
- Maintain corporate security sign-in and sign-out logs
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and packages.
- Monitor and maintain the central office supply room to ensure it is well stocked, neat and organized.
- Assist with ensuring common areas are well kept
- Assist with company events.
- Assist with ordering supplies.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Human Resources PLUS.
- Three (3) plus years of HR experience, preferably in a professional setting.
- One (1) year experience supporting a government contracting company.
- Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) and government contracting compliance is a plus.
- Experience supporting a geographically dispersed or remote team.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
