Your Purpose 

At Bitso, our mission is to make crypto useful, and as a Software Engineer II, you will be at the heart of this exciting journey. You will design, implement, deliver, and maintain code for the critical services that form the backbone of our financial infrastructure. Reports To

You will be an integral part of Bitso Business, the infrastructure for the future of cross-border payments. In this role, you'll report directly to our visionary leaders, who are dedicated to pioneering the next wave of financial innovation. Your contributions will help shape the future of global finance, making a mark on the industry.

Who You Are 

• You can articulate your ideas clearly and effectively in English, ensuring smooth team collaboration.
• You have 2-3 years of experience working with Java systems. Familiarity with Java 21 is a plus!
• Knowledge of popular Java frameworks like Spring.
• Some exposure to Cloud Architectures (preferably AWS), Microservices, and Distributed Systems.
• Understanding of core software engineering principles, including coding, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with asynchronous processing and an eagerness to learn more about tools like Kafka.
• Basic proficiency with Relational Databases, especially PostgreSQL, and some experience or interest in NoSQL databases like Redis.
• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field sets you apart from the crowd.

• Follow established processes and contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Communicate effectively within the team to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Understand requirements and assist the product team with technical details.
• Demonstrate accountability by delivering assigned tasks promptly.
• Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
• Seek mentorship and guidance from more experienced team members.
