The Program
The Colleges of Professional Studies and Extended Education & Global Engagement house the Leadership Studies undergraduate program, which is fully online and comprises 10 upper-division courses. Using an interdisciplinary approach, students develop personal and professional skills to transform themselves and enrich communities. Graduates realize their competencies and are inspired to positively enhance their careers and lives.
This program is self-supporting and does not receive funding from the University. Leadership Studies faculty are not eligible for university health benefits.

Qualifications
Degree: An earned M.B.A., M.S., M.A. or other graduate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required at time of appointment.
Experience: Demonstrated professional experience and competency in the area(s) to be taught. Experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred: Documented teaching effectiveness in online courses within the last five years. Other professional certifications welcome. Terminal degree.

Humboldt currently has the largest percentage of Native American students in the CSU system and has over 30 Native American faculty and staff, many from local area California Indian tribes. Cal Poly Humboldt is home to a number of leading Native American programs including the Indian Tribal Education and Personnel Program (ITEPP) and the Indian Natural Resource, Science and Engineering Program (INRSEP). There are also many opportunities at Humboldt to conduct research, teaching and community work on Native American history and cultures, with resources in Special Collections at the Cal Poly Humboldt library.
