What You Will Do

  • Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization.   • We have an opportunity for a Quality Inspection Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role)
  • This is a M-Fri 2nd shift opportunity
  • Work from applicable written inspection procedures and drawings.
  • Accept or refer material for rework or quality review based on findings.
  • Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments.
  • Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Follow Proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed.
  • Utilize pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment.
  • Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
  • Perform routine servicing throughout assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as inspector's check list for upkeep and assure equipment operates properly.
  • Investigate unusual non changed inspection sequences and other specialized assignments within conformance and new or changed inspection sequences and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description. Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 2 years experience in quality/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
