Job summary

Successful candidates will provide a high quality service to adults, children and young people using best practice at all times promoting a positive patient and family experience embracing sensitivity to individual patient's needs.

The successful candidate will make an important contribution to the care and management of both inpatients and outpatients requiring diagnostic CT procedures in an acute Trust setting. The individual will work closely with the CT Modality Leads, and CT Modality Manager to promote continued development of the service to deliver a high standard of care and positive patient experience whilst being responsive to the needs of other clinical directorates.

The Imaging Directorate provides 24/7 service delivery and has an established track record of service re-design and transformation.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

As a key member of the CT team, you will deliver high standards of care leading the site CT team, working to build a service that is progressive and responsive to service needs, while being safe and cost effective.

It is important that you are able to work autonomously and are able to work flexibly within a team using your clinical expertise to provide a quality CT service.

You will need to be an experienced radiographer with some CT experience who is dynamic, highly driven, motivated and experienced to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive vision for the development of new services for patients.

This post is full time with an expectation to be able to work across site when required and must have previous NHS experience.

Across UHB, the CT Imaging team run a 08:00 -- 20:00 service with out of hours on site emergency access to Imaging. You will be expected to participate in the 7-day shift system including nights, weekends, bank holidays and on call.

The CT service performs a wide variety of examinations on a range of Canon and Siemens CT scanner and you will be expected to perform patient cannulation as required.

You will be expected to influence all related aspects of care and management of patients. You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and committed to making a difference, and a commitment to improving practice through ongoing personal and professional development
