Mechanical Manufacturing Technician II is the next level of progression in the calibration field. The purpose for an operator at this level is to increase their general knowledge of calibration. Mechanical Manufacturing Technician II has successfully completed requirements of certification and fully demonstrates capability of performing the operations associated with at least one program with low or moderate complexity without oversight. Operator can prepare and assemble components to form top or sub-assemble per specifications. Operator has successfully demonstrated ability to utilize productions equipment that ensures flow rates, spray angles and spray quality conform to tolerances within the customer specifications. Operator follows and complies with established standard work practices under general supervision. The operator will typically refer problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, supervisors or engineers.
What You Will Do
- Learn how to set up and operate test stand to check nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, angle, and flow according to specifications.
- Learn how to set up and operate laser marker and printer according to procedures and specifications.
- Learn how to record spray parameters by serial number. Learns how to certify product conformance through test and records performance results by serial number.
- May learn how to disassemble, repair, and assemble product according to specifications.
- Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transitions.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
- May be required to work over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
- All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications We Prefer
- Manufacturing experience
- Manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with assembly and calibration.
- Demonstrated program proficiency while possession minimal scrap and rework.
- Basic proficiency with reading and understanding prints.
- Moderate computer proficiency (e-mail, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
- Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
- Moderate proficiency with identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.
- Basic knowledge of ACE principles and their application plus utilizes ACE portal on a regular basis to document issues and opportunities.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles and processes.
- Basic understanding of the tools needed for each job.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
