Senior Product Manager

 

Location: This role offers the flexibility of being home-based for qualified candidates in the US.

 

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our team as a Senior Product Manager for our SPIDA brand of products. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be required to have business-orientation and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will maintain close relationships with the market (customers, evaluators, and potential leads) for awareness of market needs. This includes identification of appropriate markets and development of effective marketing strategies and tactics for reaching them. You will be involved in all stages of a product’s lifecycle.

 

Your day-to-day job:

  • Drive continual product improvements and deliver results that exceed customer expectations.
  • Managing the SPIDA product management team.
  • Engage the industry as a Bentley representative
  • Gather and analyze market data (users, prospects, competitors) as input into product planning.
  • Work across the organization to develop clear and compelling value propositions at the beginning of the development process.
  • Define user personas and work with UX and Development teams to complete technology assessment and direction.
  • Build and manage the product backlog with the cross-functional team.
  • Work directly with the Development team to ensure execution of the product plan.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze metrics for product functionalities and feed learnings back into product development process.
  • Support the Product Marketing team to deliver product positioning and content.

 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 10 years’ utility industry experience doing overhead line design for transmission and distribution systems, or equivalent.  
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with SPIDAcalc or other related pole loading analysis software, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of standards applicable to overhead line design.
  • Product Management and/or Software Development experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills.
  • This role requires minimal travel.
