We have a growth opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead a cross-functional team of engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to support production programs across a variety of pump technologies As part of this role, you will manage supply chain and production challenges to ensure product delivery.  You will need a strong foundation of mechanical pump operating principles to apply in this position. 

 

You should be adept at reading and interpreting technical drawings, troubleshooting complex problems, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring internal processes are followed. Focus on these areas will facilitate maintaining production schedules, improving efficiency and reducing engineering errors You will facilitate collaboration between engineering, supply chain, producibility, and production teams to drive timely resolution of supplier requests, support production transitions, and contribute to continuous product and process improvements. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Confidently prioritize and communicate engineering projects and challenges. 

  • Read and interpret drawings, provide mark ups, and coordinate drawing releases. 

  • Develop disposition and substantiation for stocked and delivered hardware. 

  • Provide technical support for supplier and customer inquiries. 

  • Support product acceptance testing, including executing test procedures and analyzing test data. 

  • Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts to identify the causes fo production related issues. 

  • Provide customer support for high visibility field failure investigations. 

  • Pursue cost savings and efficient improvement opportunities to maximize project profitability. 

  • Liaise between project management and planning, project teams, and production line management as necessary to support plant output. 

  • Support quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries. 

  • Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce the probability of engineering setbacks. 

  • Lead and support emerging engineers within the team. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE  

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant expe
