Summary
This is a leadership position for our current HGA Building Technologies team within the Minneapolis office. This position will work directly with the HGA Building Technologies department leadership to manage, evolve, and grow the department.
We recognize that there is a wide range of low voltage building systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general building technologies with the ability to apply multiple technologies strategically to improve our client’s businesses in these market sectors: public, corporate, higher education, arts and culture, science and technology, and healthcare. Typical experience might cover systems such as:
- Wired and Wireless Voice and Data Networks
- Audiovisual systems including presentation, digital signage, etc.
- Security systems including access control, video surveillance, duress, etc
- Real Time Locating Systems
- Building Management/Automation Systems
In this role you will:
You will need to have:
- A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fields
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems including Telecommunications Infrastructure. Knowledge and experience in adjacent building technology systems such as Security Systems – Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion/Duress, Audio/Video Systems, Digital Signage and Paging/Sound Masking Systems is a plus
- BICSI RCDD Certification
- Detail-oriented work ethic
- Professional Engineering license (PE) is preferred
- Willingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role
- Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding are a plus
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and other applicable BIM related tools and software is a plus
Salary Information:
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
