What will you do?

A day in the life of a Senior analyst, Tax Compliance and Reporting at VF looks a little like this.

The Senior Analyst, Tax Compliance & Reporting plays an integral role in the preparation and review of the US federal and state income tax returns as well as the domestic income tax provision.  This position will also provide assistance with tax planning initiatives of the department and process improvement projects within the compliance & reporting process. The Senior Analyst, Tax Compliance & Reporting will also demonstrate the necessary skills to contribute to a culture of learning, partnering, and delivering to the overall tax organization while reporting to the Director of Federal Tax on key tax matters and decisions.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more: 

• You will assist in the preparation of the US federal and state income tax returns
• You will assist in the preparation of the annual income tax provision (ASC 740) in accordance with GAAP to be included in VF’s 10-K
• You will serve a key role in completing other special projects including, but not limited to, process improvements and modeling the impact of proposed and new tax legislation; assist with the analysis of mergers, acquisitions, and divestures
• You will have substantial interaction with local financial and operational leadership, Treasury, Legal, HR and Finance and will require excellent written and verbal communication skills.  This position also requires strong technology skills to maximize departmental efficiencies. 
• You will support the tax department’s efforts related to direct data access and technology implementation through testing and evaluation of feedback related to new processes and technology utilization

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years relevant tax experience

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of income tax accounting and tax technical concepts
• Skills to analyze and model data accurately and efficiently for multiple projects
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Apportionment, SAP, and RIA Checkpoint
• Demonstrate ability to organize, manage, and execute multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical
• Must be an accountable self-starter, able to work both independently with a proactive working style as well as in conjunction with other teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Hiring Range:

$69,600.00 USD - $87,000.00 USD ann
