Job Description

The Insurance and Claims Analyst/Sr Analyst – Risk Management position will support a broad scope of activities with a primary focus on the oversight of global property and casualty insurance claims as well as placement and administration of the ITW commercial insurance programs.  The ideal candidate will have prior claims handling or management experience as well as possess a solid analytical background and is very detailed oriented along with excellent communication skills.

The Insurance and Claims Analyst – Risk Management will report to the Director of Risk Management and work closely with the Risk Management Team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the global property and casualty claims to include the US workers’ compensation and auto liability programs.
• Support the placement of global insurance programs providing data and exposure information for underwriting submissions and applications.
• Manage the Risk Management spend to include the processing of invoices and managing a comprehensive spend report updated monthly
• Assist in the administration of the Risk Management information systems to include maintaining the hierarchy and location structure, running reports, and administering product liability claim and settlement information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration preferred or equivalent work experience
• At least 4 years of prior claims handling experience
• Proficiency in standard business software, (MS Office)
• Detail oriented with solid organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain relationships with business units across a wide range of cultures and geographies
