Job Description:

This position exists to provide administrative support for the Department of K12 Partnerships and Academic Advising under the leadership of the Director of Advising and K12 Partnerships. This position collaborates closely with high school counselors, students, faculty, administrators, and parents to facilitate admission and enrollment services for Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) – also known as Dual Enrollment Programs. Additionally, the role works with ATCC Departments and various stakeholders to support departmental initiatives, including the Perkins Grant, innovation grants and efforts to promote the benefits of educational partnerships.

Salary Range:

$22.23 to $30.09 per hour / $47,231 to $63,935 annually

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and skill of word processing sufficient to use software to create, format, edit and print a variety of documents, including emails, memos and reports, and ability to check completed work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format.

  • Knowledge of math sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers, and use fractions and decimals, and ability to maintain complete and accurate financial records, balance and resolve discrepancies.

  • Knowledge of communications sufficient to answer telephones, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, explain the reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations in a manner that is understandable, and ability to explain policies and procedures in a clear, concise, and professional manner to both internal and external customers.

  • Skill in using business grammar, spelling and punctuation to write, develop and edit reports, letters, procedures, presentations and other documents.

  • Knowledge of customer service practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer’s needs, meet quality standards for services, that result in customer satisfaction, and skill in customer service sufficient to perform the duties with politeness, respect, and interest in positive problem solving.

  • Skill in providing prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence, and ability to manage and address customer’s, clients, and co-workers’ concerns tactfully and thoroughly.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Three years of professional work experience in an office setting; A bachelor’s degree in business, office management, or similar field can substitute for one year of experience, and an associate’s degree can substitute for six months of experience.

  • Experience with high school partnerships, concurrent enrollment, or PSEO processing. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite sufficient to create and format letters, spreadsheets, reports, graphs, meeting minutes, contracts, brochures, emails, and ability to use calendaring software to schedule appointments and meetings using Microsoft Teams.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software, such as ISRS (for data entry), Image Now and Perceptive Content (to scan documents for electronic storage), ACCUPLACER, Power BI, Marketplace, Salesforce, PSEO book program, Workday, or other selected software as position expands in responsibilities.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills in order to identify priorities and meet timelines with limited supervision.

  • Experience working with Perkins Grant.

  • Data privacy knowledge and skills (including FERPA) to adequately enter and handle data that is confidential and personal in nature.
