Director, Internal IT Operations

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Director of Internal IT Operations who will lead overall technical innovation, differentiation, and strategy to include creation and execution of a technology roadmap, development of company-wide technical solutions, and supporting technical performance and excellence on major programs. The Director will play a strategic role in overseeing and managing the organization's internal information technology infrastructure. This leadership position involves developing and executing IT strategies, ensuring the security and efficiency of the company's IT systems, and supporting the overall business objectives. The Director of Internal IT will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with the company's goals. This position is located in Herndon, VA and supports locations nationwide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Developing and implementing the overall IT strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives and government regulations.
• Consulting with business leadership on potential solutions to problems.
• Providing strategic direction for the development and deployment of IT initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, helpdesk support, and other relevant roles.
• Fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting professional growth within the IT team.
• Managing hardware and software assets, making recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT-related field; combined with 10+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Government IT Contracting Services building teams in IT Infrastructure, Agile DevSecOps, AI/ML, and Security Architecture
• Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, and/or SAFe Agile
• Prior technical roles within similar organizations with growing duties and responsibilities
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a government contracting environment
• Strong understanding of government security regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and systems
• Extensive experience in ensuring compliance with government regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience providing technical solutions and standing up secure facilities and SCIF environments, spanning multiple locations
• US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain an ISA level security clearanceThis position has remote flexibility but candidates must be based out of the Herndon, VA area with ability to support in office as needed.

The salary range for this position is commensurate on experience.
