About This Role

The Director, Transformational Leadership will be a pivotal role in driving the culture and performance of the North America (NA) by delivering experiences that inspire achievement and transform the mindsets of our leaders and talent.

The role will be responsible for translating the NA’s strategic imperatives into leadership imperatives and achieving these imperatives through the design and implementation of NA Commercial meetings/engagements and leadership transformation initiatives. The individual will also be responsible for working directly with NA field leaders across all therapeutic areas (TA's) to gather direct field insight and pull through leadership objectives in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Partnering directly with the President of North America, this individual will be responsible for defining key leadership imperatives and transformational initiatives that will be of focus each upcoming year. This will require leveraging internal strategy, insight from the brands and TA's, as well as external industry/cross-industry trends to inform our strategy.
  • Lead the strategy and planning of NA Commercial meetings both virtually and onsite (National Summit, Leadership Summit, and other key engagements with NA Leaders and talent) to ensure meeting objectives, messaging and outcomes are clearly defined and measurable; and partner with the NALT(North America Leadership Team), Strategic Planning, CMC, Communications on all logistics to ensure a flawless execution.
  • Accountable for leading the strategy, developing the yearly plan, and the cross-functional execution for the Leaders Forums (virtual or in-person), which will be designed to enable the NALT and NA Leaders to routinely share updates, assess performance, share best practice, and drive an agenda centered around our leadership imperatives.
  • Partner with Commercial Leadership and business partners and ensure meeting objectives are clearly defined and aligned to the leadership imperatives, and that logistics are planned accordingly.
  • Stand up and routinely engage a Leaders Advisory Team, which will inform programming around Leaders Forum and Summits, help identify the needs of our leaders and their teams and support the pull-through of themes and initiatives within their respective remits.
  • Travel to commercial regions to partner directly with leaders across divisions and TA’s to gather insights from field rides/focus groups to inform the transformational leadership agenda, implement localized leadership programs, and support the pull-through of leadership objectives in the field.
  • Develop and implement the most compatible structure to identify, assess and provide ongoing resources for innovative initiatives designed to catalyze transformation across the enterprise.
  • Closely collaborate with the External Growth & Innovation team to create a bi-directional communications platform between field and HQ, enhancing the innovation discovery process, while providing real-time feedback to concepts in development and translating imaginative visions into actionable plans.
  • Foster innovation culture and inspire internal teams to disrupt, improve, and evolve ways of working by supporting and showcasing innovative successes across North America and embeddings innovation is into the strategy development process.
  • Lead process to evaluate, prioritize, activate, measure and scale (if appropriate) enterprise-wide or cross-TA pilots.
  • Partner with key vendors and Learning partners to design programs and trainings to deliver on the key leadership imperatives
  • Manage external content agencies and lead identification and contracting of external speakers
  • Create and analyze attendee feedback surveys and lead post-program debriefs to improve the congress experience

Qualifications

  • 10+ years commercial biotech/pharma experience within marketing, sales, training, strategic planning, or adjacent experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters/MBA preferred
  • Skilled at navigating a matrix organization and collaborating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders that includes executive leadership
  • Thought leader with a track record to formulate and integrate functional strategies with corporate objectives and translate them into actionable deliverables
  • Ability to cultivate strong internal/external networks
  • Effective stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s lic
