Work Schedule: 

• Full Time Days - (64 hours bi-weekly)
• Schedule will fall within Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm 
• No weekends, holidays or call

Job Overview:

This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families. This position collaborates, in a collegial manner, with physicians and other health care team members in meeting the patient’s needs. May delegate certain aspects of care to those under their direct supervision, within the scope of nursing practice. Assesses the learning needs of the nurse in orientation. Develops the nurse's orientation plan, implements the plan, and provides guidance and supervision throughout the plan. Evaluates the progress of the nurse in orientation in collaboration with the nurse manager or designee.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree - Nursing (Required) 
• New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.  (Required)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in an OR setting is required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience is preferred
• Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
• Registered Nurse Required 
• ACLS PALS will need to be obtained upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Job Responsibilities: 

• Conducts and documents patient/family assessments; communicates findings and education needs
• Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans with patient/family and care team
• Ensures a safe, respectful environment; prioritizes care and responds to emergencies
• Delivers and documents care, including medications, treatments, and physician orders
