Senior Software Engineer

Assignment Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for an exciting onsite opportunity within a large-scale global enterprise environment. The selected professional will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems while contributing to architectural discussions, engineering excellence, and delivery processes. Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and support scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot technologies. Take ownership of the complete software delivery lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, CI/CD implementation, monitoring, and production support activities. Work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to drive technical solutions and mitigate delivery risks. Contribute to system design decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, performance, and business impact. Implement and enhance automated testing strategies including TDD, integration testing, and performance validation. Manage and optimize containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Support engineering best practices, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical standards across teams. Ensure high availability and reliability of services operating in cloud-native environments. Required Technical Skills Strong experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework Hands-on expertise in Microservices Architecture and Cloud-Native Development Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration Solid understanding of CI/CD and Continuous Deployment practices Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD), Integration Testing, and Performance Testing Familiarity with monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support activities Required Skills Docker Java Spring Boot Kubernetes PostgreSQL Integration Testing Performance Testing TDD Testing Methodologies CI/CD & Continuous Deployment Leadership Expectations Ability to independently manage complex technical domains with minimal supervision Strong decision-making capability balancing delivery timelines, scalability, quality, and operational efficiency Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices within teams Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills Language Requirement Professional proficiency in English is required.
