As the Senior Pharmacy Pharmacy, you will oversee the operations and management success of HealthLinc’s in-house pharmacies. Additionally, in this position you may function as a pharmacy manager or community staff pharmacist on an as needed basis. This position will work closely with all pharmacy personnel (community and clinic) and will report to the Assistant Director of Pharmacy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for operation and management of the community pharmacy service lines.
- Tracks and reviews quality data relevant to pharmacy and evaluates for needed changes and areas of improvement.

- Trains new pharmacy staff when necessary (e.g. pharmacy manager, staff pharmacist, pharmacy technician).
- Conducts and evaluates medication histories, assess compliance and suggest modifications for optimal drug product selection to achieve desired outcomes; instruct patients in correct use of prescribed medications.
- Individualizes medication regimens using sound principles and understanding of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination to establish and improve to optimum patient benefit.
- Utilizes INSPECT to ensure appropriate use and dispensing of controlled substances.
- Uses EHR appropriately when needed to aid in job function and manage EHR tasks completely and efficiently.
- Communicates with health center staff efficiently and effectively to provide high quality patient care.
- Provides immunizations to patients when appropriate.
- Precepts pharmacy residents and students, as applicable.
- Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code-of-Conduct. Reports compliance problems appropriately.
- Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of drugs designated as hazardous waste.
- Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required
- Pharm.D. preferred
Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of pharmacy management experience or two (2) years with completion of a PGY2 in Management experience preferred
