Job Summary:

The claims coordinator supports the needs of the claims team.  Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solution(s) to our team as well as Provider/Member needs as they relate to the claims processes.  Improves the entire Claims and Provider/Member experience exceeding expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Answer provider/member claims incoming calls for company.

  • Manage provider/member data while maintaining compliance with HIPAA.

  • Ensure appropriate measures are taken to resolve provider/member challenges.

  • Keep records of client interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.

  • Attend the needs of the provider/member and continually seeking ways to add value to the relationship.

  • Enter medical claims received from providers into the claims system.

  • Maintain Claims processing daily quota.

  • Reprice claims received from providers.

  • Look up Claims status, plan specifications and generate EOB’s.

  • Maintain Claims inbox to support Provider/Member needs.

  • File electronic and paper documents as needed.

  • Provide general office support when needed.

  • Have strict attention to detail in catching errors and inconsistencies in data.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position does not supervise any team member.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week.
