As a Marketing & Gaming Operations Intern, you will be exposed to various aspects of Marketing & Gaming Operations at a casino, working closely with VIP Marketing, Caesars Rewards, Database Marketing/Advertising, Entertainment, Event/Promotion, Slot Performance, Slot Operations & Table Games Operations. 

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH (STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES):

As the Marketing & Gaming Operations Intern, you will gain exposure to business operations in the different divisions of marketing in key areas, including VIP Marketing, Caesars Rewards, Database Marketing/Advertising, Entertainment, Event/Promotion, Slot Performance, Slot Operations & Table Games Operations. As an intern at Caesars Entertainment, you are given the opportunity to identify a business need and address this need through an independent project in conjunction with your rotational program.

VIP MARKETING

• Understand the ins and outs of the host program 
• Greet guests 
• Learn how to identify new business guests & converting prospective guests to primary
• Answer guests’ calls
• Learn how to book guests into hotel, events & transportation

CAESARS REWARDS

• Learn about the Caesars Rewards program
• Create new accounts
• Update guest accounts
• Assist with guest inquiries and solving complaints
• Understand CMS/Winet
• Introduction into entanglement

DIRECT MAIL/ADVERTISING

• Assist with proofing both direct mail pieces & signage
• Opportunity to create basic Heart of House signage
• Introduction to Facebook and assisting with updates
• Printing signage
• Listening in on calls with third-party advertising agency

ENTERTAINMENT

• Owning Box Office will-call window on days of show
• Creating Entertainment Info Sheets

• Lounge/Pool Entertainment Ownership
  • Communicate with bands/DJs
  • Schedule shows & submit requisitions
  • Receive purchase orders

EVENTS/PROMOTIONS

• Create property events and promotions info sheets
• Assist with basic event planning and execution
• Event folder creation
• Assist with interdepartmental property communication

SLOT PERFORMANCE

• Observe and participate in morning drop (collection of funds)

• Learn the basic makeup and operation of gaming devices

• Participate in a ram clear to learn the basic procedure and the different options available
• Participate in ADOG certifications if scheduled
• Learn the function of player tracking and the components involved
• Install and set up new gaming devices or conversions
• Brief overview of slot machine holds, PAR sheets, setup in SDS
• Overview of Capital Purchases

SLOT OPERATIONS

• Learn about Responsible Gaming and casino requirements

• Understand the ins and out of a slot attendant’s day-to-day
  • Assisting guests with machine errors
  • Paying out jackpots
  • Compliance

TABLE GAMES OPERATIONS

• Learn the mechanics of all table games at the property.
• Learn to deal blackjack, roulette and craps in a test environment.

• Shadow pit clerks and learn responsibilities
