About the role

 

We are currently hiring a Full Time, Senior Partnerships Marketing Manager position based in Boston.

Summary

The Sr. Partnerships Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and executing collaborations that enhance brand visibility, deepen customer engagement, and unlock new revenue streams. The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation skills, deep marketing acumen, and ability to build and maintain influential relationships. Key partnership categories include collegiate and professional sports, music festivals and tours, celebrity endorsements, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals. A solid understanding of experiential marketing and activation strategy is essential to succeed in this role.  

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule. 

What You'll Brew: (Responsibilities)

  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities across industries, ensuring strategic alignment with brand objectives and target audiences.
  • Develop a portfolio-based approach to partnerships, delivering unique and differentiated opportunities across multiple brands.
  • Lead and refine the internal scorecarding process to assess partnership viability and alignment with business goals.
  • Negotiate partnership terms, contracts, and deliverables to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Drive partnership activation strategy across all touchpoints, including experiential marketing, asset design and buildouts, PR, social media, and trade extensions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partner organizations, agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams—brand, sales, procurement, analytics, insights, legal, creative, communications, and digital—to ensure seamless execution and integration of partnership strategies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between external agencies and internal teams, ensuring alignment on strategy, creative direction, and campaign execution.
  • Oversee agency relationships to ensure timely delivery of assets, adherence to budgets, and maintenance of brand integrity.
  • Manage internal stakeholder approvals, including executive-level alignment and sign-off.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to keep all teams informed, aligned, and equipped to support partnership initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging partnership models to identify new opportunities.
  • Provide best-in-class examples and competitive benchmarks to support ideation and execution.
  • Collaborate on activation cost forecasting and experiential event planning across the brand portfolio.
  • Some travel will be required

What Ingredients You'll Bring: 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or marketing strategy.
  • 5+ years bringing major Sports, Music and other partnerships to life from onsite activation through full 360 development
  • Experience negotiating successful partnerships and contracts with professional and collegiate sports teams as well as celebrity talent agents/agencies
  • Experience managing external agency and internal cross-functional teams
  • Experience evaluating and measuring ROI on partnerships
  • Strong presentation skills and experience in front of Executive level audiences

Level: 5IC

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $86,000 and $144,000. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
