Summary
Performs difficult clerical work providing a variety of office assistance services to Emergency Services; does related work as required. Examples of duties
Provides general clerical, typing, copying and filing services; answering telephone calls; assisting the public and supervisor; maintaining records and files; preparing reports. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)- Types correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials from rough draft, copy, notes or verbal instruction.
- Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness and conformance to established standards.
- Greets visitors and/or applicants and responds to a variety of questions and requests; refers to proper personnel.
- Collects and prepares data for records and reports; prepares routine reports.
- Issues various licenses and permits, notary applications, etc.
- Composes routine correspondence.
- Posts and makes entries in account books and other records.
- Makes arithmetical calculations; types purchase orders.
- Maintains official County records, records County documents ensuring all documents have been completed with necessary signatures and pertinent information.
- Performs specialized department tasks and duties as assigned.
- Duplicates a variety of documents and materials for use by staff.
- Operates standard office, word processing and data entry equipment.
- Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member.
- Performs related tasks as required.

Qualifications
General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques; general knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; ability to type accurately and at a reasonable rate of speed; ability to make arithmetical calculations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public; ability to follow oral and written instructions.Physical Requirements:
