Position Description:

Provides oversight, leadership and achievement of results for multiple Retail Donation Centers (RDC) for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA). Directs all aspects of daily operations; leading the team and driving the business.  Provides leadership and general management skills for both short and long-term success. Key responsibilities include operations, financial management, human resources, and employee training & development.  Build and retain motivated high performing teams through effective leadership of line management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial – Sustains growth through financial stewardship & fiscal responsibility.

  • Executes operations plan to achieve required targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for Retail Donation Center’s (RDC’s).
  • Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.

Customer & Community – Collaborates with customers to understand and deliver customer’s needs & expectations.

  • Ensures team members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Works to de-escalate customer situations while finding an appropriate solution.
  • Coordinates with the VP, Logistics and Salvage to analyze, identify and execute strategic goals and objectives.
  • Ensures locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.

Operational Excellence – Implements strategies to maximize resources and infrastructure.

  • Maintains the day-to-day operations of multiple RDC sites including managing and meeting employee and customer needs.
  • Ensures that team members are operating per company standards and procedures relating to Security, Health and Safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to team members and the business.
  • Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.

Team Goodwill – Promotes a culture that embraces growth & development to meet the needs of our team.

  • Ensures that RDC Team Members are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of RDC team members.

  • Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3+ years supervisory experience required
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Arizona drivers' license and clean MVR
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
