Senior Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our embedded software capabilities in Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa.

You will join our Industrial Measurement's Products and Systems organization, becoming a member of our embedded software team consisting of 13 team members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

• Develop embedded and embedded Linux application software using among other things C++ and Python to measurement system.
• Implement new features and enhancements based on scientific research and customer needs.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to provide seamless user experiences.
• Apply your soft skills through working closely with colleagues and stakeholders.

 

 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

 

• Proficiency in modern software development methodologies such as Git, and emphasis on writing clean code.

• Demonstrated experience and adaptability in working with existing legacy codebases.

• Familiarity and enthusiasm for Agile software development practices, including participation in scrum teams.

• Proactive "getting things done" attitude with a commitment to problem-solving.

• Aptitude for unraveling complex implementations and implementing changes to streamline processes and reduce complexity.

• Strong proficiency in C++ programming language.

• Understanding of Linux concepts.

• Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration and clear exchanges within the team.
