Job Description

You will manage Europe Trade Operations Team, responsible of customs operations within EMEA region. You will optimize customs operations across the EMEA region and driving cost optimization initiatives.

Establishing a Customs declaration network that covers all requirements of a market and business in terms of service, lead-time and costs based on the customs profiles.

You will coordinate closely with Integrated Supply Chain Global Trade Compliance function and with other TC team members to ensure that trade compliance policies, procedures and training are implemented that conform to the enterprise standard.

Your role:

• Track and review performance of Customs Operation Teams and ensure continuous improvement leveraging Lean principles to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Manages the development and implementation of a comprehensive Trade Compliance framework, encompassing Free Trade Agreements, customs compliance procedures, and export control regulations, ensuring proper application, adherence, and archiving of these frameworks

• Track and review operational costs of Customs operations vs AOP with developing strategies with a short term horizon in line with business or legal developments

• Work closely with Integrated Supply Chain Global Trade Compliance function and other stakeholders to determine business and Market requirements

• Coordination and communication of all Customs process deviations between stakeholders : Trade Compliance Function ;  Transport Procurement, Bookers, Business and Markets.

• Ensure sufficient capacity of Team considering seasonality in activity levels.

• Implement and drive Customs processes standardization within covered by the Trade Compliance Team import or export flows

• Drive analytics based on available analytics tools

• Project management with ensuring compliance to Philips standard

• Identify areas of trade compliance risk and ensure that any necessary corrective actions are implemented

• Leading a Team of several dozen of highly qualified Customs Experts

• Provide assistance to new hires in training and on-going operational activities,

You're the right fit if:

• Master degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Management or  Business Administration,

• More than 7 years of experience in managerial role in Trade Compliance environment

• Good working knowledge of global customs laws and regulations

• Excellent organization and time management/multi-tasking skills demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of project

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

• Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Click Sense, knowledge of AI tools used in Customs operations would be an asset.

• Good working knowledge of MS office applications with expert level for MS EXCEL;

• Evidence of excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels, both internally and within the service providers

• Strong data analysis experience and high learning agility

• Fluent level of English is essential
