Our interdisciplinary, global, committed teams serve the BASF businesses to grow with our customers, products, and markets.</p> <h2>RESPONSIBILITIES</h2> <p>BASF is expanding the existing Engineering Hub in Spain to support investment projects, among other in the field of battery materials.</p> <ul> <li>You are responsible for the functional, timely, safe and cost-oriented construction planning and execution of construction activities of large and complex investment projects worldwide.</li> <li>Furthermore, you are accountable for ensuring proper constructability reviews are performed during all phases of the project and findings properly incorporated in the design.</li> <li>You drive the development of construction strategy, preparation, tendering and award of construction packages and coordinate and steer the activities in the field to ensure safe installation in time and budget according to technical specification.</li> <li>As Construction Manager you are responsible for functional management and steering of the entire integrated construction team, including internal personnel and external contractors. </li> <li>You are responsible for fostering the alliances and good collaboration between contractors, suppliers and the project team.</li> <li>Last but not least, you ensure the contractual execution and quality of the services in compliance with the Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Information Protection.</li> <li>In addition, you adapt the service portfolio to market trends and business requirements, evaluate execution and contracting strategies (and) as well as develop related processes, tools and technologies.</li> <li>You are actively involved in overarching teams in Europe and worldwide.</li> </ul> <h2>QUALIFICATIONS</h2> <ul> <li>Degree in Engineering </li> <li>10+ years of proven experience as construction manager for large capital projects.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to work in large and complex project setups.</li> <li>Communication skills, customer orientation and team spirit to achieve the best results together.</li> <li>Mobility strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Strong English language skills are required.
