SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) unit.
This position is a 0.7 FTE (7 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Days with On Call Per Unit Policy requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
- Preventing illness and injury
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of recent adult ICU or Interventional Radiology professional nursing (RN) experience including experience managing drips, ventrics, and vents
- ACLS certification required
Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and able to stand for long period of time and assist with moving patients, including wheelchairs, beds, and carts
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications:
- Procedures/Sedation experience
- Pediatric experience/PALS certification (PALS certification required within 6 months of start into position)
