Staff Software Engineer - Interoperability Technical Lead

We are looking for an Interoperability Technical Lead to drive technical leadership, coordination, and execution for our interoperability solutions. You will lead an offshore, outsourced team, manage priorities, and ensure seamless integration across our platform. Your role will be pivotal in defining architecture, improving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate an offshore, outsourced development team.
• Manage and prioritize development tasks and issue triaging with a focus on offshore team communication and efficiency.
• Drive process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity, specifically addressing challenges related to remote and offshore collaboration.
• Provide architectural guidance and make critical technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define interoperability strategies and feature details.
• Evaluate user stories from Product Management and User Experience to ensure implementation readiness.
• Develop sprint plans aligned with current and future roadmap goals.
• Work closely with Backend and Frontend leads to coordinate APIs and application support.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure adequate manual and automated test coverage.
• Partner with stakeholders to define and maintain the interoperability technical architecture.
• Follow and improve Agile development processes.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of CAD Application Plugins, Plugin Installer, "Tray App" Windows service, and other Interop system integrations.
• Utilize required programming languages (C#) and desired languages (JavaScript/React, Ruby, PowerShell).
• Work with web services, SDKs, and system integrations.
• Leverage experience with CAD applications and CAD data (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, test environments and machines.
• Ensure digital signing and compliance requirements are met.
• Oversee release processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in design and implementation of modular/scalable production software systems.
• Technical leadership experience on software projects.
• Experience with CAD applications and CAD data (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
• Experience with web services, SDKs, and system integrations.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency in C#.
• Experience coordinating the work of outsourced/offshore development teams.
• Experience in developing CAD application integrations and plugins.
• Expertise in IFC
• Familiarity with Speckle and other web-based interoperability solutions.
• Strong background in web services and API integrations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/React, Ruby, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Digital Signing and compliance.
