The Challenge

This role reports directly to the Senior Revenue Manager and will be responsible for managing day-to-day revenue accounting close operations and help drive the implementation of the Company’s revenue management system. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of technical revenue accounting concepts and must have a strong desire to improve processes and help build a framework for a future IPO company.

 

Your Mission

• Effectively partner with cross-functional teams and drive the creation of upstream processes and controls to help ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue under ASC 606.
• Manage the design and UAT testing for the Company’s revenue management system implementation.
• Analyze and document reviews for non-standard customer contracts and propose any potential adjustments for revenue impacting terms.
• Build a framework for establishing SSP and manage any updates to the study as required.
• Help establish the Company’s revenue policy memorandums and deal negotiation playbooks.
• Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of revenue and deferred revenue accounts to identify key drivers behind fluctuations of balances from prior accounting periods.
• Support sales and legal teams by providing technical revenue expertise around non-standard deal structures and negotiations and drafting appropriate verbiage as necessary.

 

Your Experience Includes

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
• 8 years of combined experience in public accounting or a corporate revenue accounting role
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to multiple performance obligation arrangements, specifically in the SaaS/Software industry
• CPA required.
• Experience with MS Excel and creating complex spreadsheets and analytical tools
