Finxact - Senior Software Engineer

What does a successful Senior Software Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be a key contributor within the Development team and build and maintain framework components across our suite of applications and services.  You will coordinate with the rest of the team as they work on different layers of the infrastructure.

What you will do:

• Develop Go application framework components that are scalable and maintainable across our enterprise 
• Translate software requirements into stable, working, high-performance software 
• Develop services that interact with relational database systems, RDBMS and Messaging systems 
• Develop quality integration tests to ensure a quality product 
• Play a key role in application architecture and design of the system 

What you will need to have:

• 6- 10 years of hands-on software development experience
• 3+ years of experience building RESTful API fundamentals with Microservices
• 3+ years of experience building Go applications backed by a relational database such as Postgres or MySQL 
• 2+ years of experience software version control, Git and continuous integration tools
• 2+ years of experience with Go CPU and memory profiling tools 
• 1+ years of experience with at least two of the Go packages and frameworks such as Gorilla-Mux or Chi, Gorm, Go Kit, gRPC 
• 1+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be nice to have:

• Experience with Event Driven Architectures & Messaging brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Understanding of Go's current dependency management framework 
• Previous Fiserv, Finxact experience

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
