Department/Program Overview
We are seeking motivated, college-level interns to join our Summer Internship Program. Interns will support a strategic data integrity project focused on validating and updating historical sales and operational data as Carisk transitions from legacy systems to new proprietary platforms.
Interns will work closely with Sales Operations, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to review, cleanse, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across the organization.
Available Data Integrity Internship Track / Requirements
1. Data Integrity & Systems Migration Intern
This role focuses on validating, cleaning, and updating historical data from legacy systems and ensuring accurate migration into new proprietary platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing historical sales and operational records from multiple legacy systems
- Comparing legacy data to records in new proprietary platforms to identify gaps and discrepancies
- Validating key data fields such as:
- Account and contact information
- Sales activity details and status
- Operational and case-related metrics
- Executing defined data cleansing activities (standardizing formats, correcting obvious errors, de-duplicating records)
- Updating and maintaining data in Carisk’s new platforms according to established rules and workflows
- Documenting findings, data issues, and recurring patterns for review by Sales Operations and IT
- Assisting with test scenarios and spot checks for data migration quality
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, process guides, and integrity checklists
- Contributing to additional data integrity, reporting, and process improvement projects throughout the summer
Program Requirements
- Currently enrolled college students (data analytics, information systems, business, statistics, or related fields preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency
- Comfort working with large data sets in spreadsheets and/or basic database tools
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and apply defined business rules to data
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other collaborative tools; exposure to databases, CRM, or BI tools is a plus
- Prior experience with data, analytics, or operations (job, internship, or coursework) is a plus, but not required
- Hard-working, motivated, and driven individuals with an interest in data, operations, and process improvement
