The Director of Global Product Operations will lead a full-cycle, tech-enabled strategic procurement process - from sourcing strategy and should-cost modeling to eRFX execution and vendor negotiations.
You'll oversee the daily operations of digital tools, build and lead a high-performing team, and collaborate cross-functionally to leverage data, optimize operations, and guide better results. You will report to our VP, Product Operations.
About the Job
Data Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with business goals, establishing a vision for data analytics, and overseeing data governance and quality protocols
Team Management and Development: Lead and grow a team, foster a collaborative environment, and set clear goals and KPIs
Costing Process and Procurement: Oversee cost model development, implement procurement processes, and develop strategies for cost reduction. Develop the processes and infrastructure to support best-in-breed procurement. Develop methodologies to assemble and leverage eRFP and negotiation data collected throughout the procurement program back into the development of category management and sourcing strategies for next-generation cost reduction. Craft scenarios to guide procurement award recommendations maximizing savings while balancing cost savings with product quality, business continuity need, and sourcing risk. Develop metrics and collect data to summarize procurement results and accomplishments over time for continuous improvement. Lead stakeholder team through the development of optimal procurment strategy, including specification and scope of work development. Develop a supplier communications plan to support procurement strategy, including supplier training. Develop of the optimal quote structure for RFx. Validate final quotes and generate and distribute eRFI/P reports.
Data and Analytics Insights: Direct the development of advanced analytics models, transforming complex data sets into actionable insights, and provide recommendations to senior leadership
Business Support: Lead team that manages daily operations of digital tools, ensures timely user training and support, and resolves system and data-related challenges
Operational Excellence and Process Optimization: Implement best practices for system support and change management, and resolving production issues
Digital Transformation and Change Management: Lead change management efforts for new digital tools, system integration, and data migration activities
Collaboration with Partners: Work with various teams to identify important needs and opportunities for analysis, and communicate complex data findings to non-technical partners
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance indicators, and provide regular reports on data and analytics projects
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and encourage the use of new analytical methods and technologies
Cross-Functional Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder relationships, gather business requirements, and facilitate cross-functional communication
About You
10+ years of experience in product operations or product development.
Proven ability to inspire, lead, and develop teams.
Advanced Excel skills; expertise in PLM systems, strong data analysis and modelling skills
Strong background driving the use of new digital tools, implementing change management strategies, and delivering effective training and user support.
Expertise including: Category Sourcing Strategy, Sourcing Analytics and Vendor Negotiations.
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience with the end-to-end procurement lifecycle and value chain
Familiarity with e-RFX tools and systems, machine learning models, AI applications, and data mining techniques.
This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $144,800-$219,300 per year. We may
