Job Description

Press Ganey is looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to be based anywhere in the United States. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role is responsible for the design, implementation and support of critical business systems and services in a hybrid cloud environment.  This role serves as a senior technical resource providing vision and guidance to system engineers and administrators as well as an escalation resource where required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design and implementation of authentication and core technologies, including the design and overall health of the Active Directory Services, Group Policy, DHCP/DNS/WINS, Certificate Services (PKI), Linux Kerberos integration, Dell/EMC and NetApp storage systems, VMware infrastructures, and other technology solutions.  
• Partners with many areas of the business to collect requirements, assemble business cases for projects, and coordinate with the Infrastructure Leadership to prioritize projects and other workloads.  
• Works with Infrastructure Leadership to prioritize tasks and assignments to ensure teams’ resources are used effectively and project deadlines are met. 
• Leads and manages complex technical projects and provides technical advice and guidance to team members during project lifecycle.   
• Develops, evaluates, and reviews standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure that work is of a consistently high quality. 
• Serve as the escalation point to System Administrators and Engineers for Major Incident resolution and root cause determination.
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.  
• Acts as a system engineering subject matter expert assisting the application development teams in the design, implementation and delivery of key solutions to the business.
• Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise. 
• Investigate leading edge technologies that will help drive the business forward and provide a competitive advantage, not only in infrastructure, but within the industry. 

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR 7+ years of relevant technical experience
• 7+ years’ experience in Information Technology field, holding positions showing demonstrated leadership and advancement. 
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a high-functioning and productive team, research technology, write recommendation proposals and purchase justifications. 
• Demonstrated advanced skills and experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex infrastructure systems including SAN and virtualization technologies 
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking – (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Demonstrated skills and experience in Microsoft technologies especially Active Directory, Azure AD, clustering, Exchange Online and other Office 365 applications. 
• Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS concepts along with Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Ability to prioritize work efforts, identify and escalate issues and risks, and work collaboratively with peers to deliver solutions.
• Help establish and implement enterprise standards for managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure.   

• Experience with various enterprise and cloud monitoring systems. 

• Solid scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and configuration management. 
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and solve complex problems and develop effective strategies and solutions. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate equally well with technical and non-technical individuals. 
• Experience working in a highly dynamic atmosphere, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work within challenging timeframes with keen attention to detail.
