Job Description

**Please note that this is a contract from February to July 2024 (inclusively) and will be paid under a 3rd party provider**

The HRBP & Workplace Specialist is responsible for overall HRBP & Workplace duties. This role will drive positive employee relationships, plan & implement office events, and work in collaboration with the Cary Campus Facilities Manager to address all office needs. As an HRBP, you will be the main point of contact for Leaders & employees within your assigned scope. As a Workplace Specialist, you will create, plan, and implement internal events to promote engagement & morale. And lastly, you will work closely with HRBPs around the globe and the US-based HR Ops team located in San Francisco, CA.  

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Main point of contact for Leaders & employees across your scope (CRC, Community, & Customer Experience) answering all questions they have (HR related, location related, global initiatives, etc.) 
  • Meet regularly with Managers/Leaders to understand their business, challenges, and identify ways to support them in their business goals. 
  • Work onsite at least twice a week, walking the floor to engage employees and checking for facility issues. 
  • Responsible for all Ubisoft Cary facilities and office management – ordering office supplies, IT equipment, inventory management, postage, enforcing safety and emergency policies & procedures, and general office daily tasks. 
  • Manage vendor relationships in coordination with the Cary Campus Facilities Manager (Capitol Coffee, Amazon, CityWide Janitorial Services, Pest Control, HVAC, etc.) to ensure the needs of the business are met in the most financially responsible way. 
  • Responsible for preparing materials and packets for benefits and new hire orientation. 
  • File and organize confidential documents, including employee personnel files, and maintain high standards of confidentiality. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, & local employment & benefits laws and regulations. 
  • Drive & own the communication of company policies, procedures, and programs/projects within your scope – owner of floor maps, Holiday events, Game Release events, and all internal/local communications.  
  • Maintains kitchen area whenever onsite, including refilling/cleaning industrial coffee machine, counters, microwaves, and resupply all drinks, snacks, and disposables. 

 

Qualifications

What you’ll bring: 

  • Strong experience in an HR Generalist and/or HRBP role with working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations and compliance. 
  • Experience in an Office Manager role, with a proven track record of quickly resolving issues. 
  • Proven abilities in project management methodology and execution. 
  • Ability to professionally communicate and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization, including key stakeholders and external partners/vendors. 
  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism, exercise appropriate judgment, the ability to balance empathy with business objectives, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be able to maintain company and employee confidentiality, at all times. 
  • Strong business acumen, with a continuous improvement mindset.
